Community Conversations Project: Building Inclusive Communities in New Hampshire

Facilitating courageous conversations where every voice is valued.

Zerwa Consulting serves as facilitator for the Community Conversations project, an inspiring multi-session initiative organized by New Hampshire Humanities (NHH) and the Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA). Residents from across New Hampshire come together to explore the meaning of "community" and what makes communities inclusive, vibrant, and resilient.

Across several sessions from Whitefield to Nashua, Harrisville to Portsmouth, facilitated conversations bring together people with diverse backgrounds, stories, concerns, and hopes. These dialogues create safe spaces where every voice can be heard and every experience valued.

Methodology
  • Creating safe, welcoming spaces for open dialogue
  • Small group engagement and collective reflection
  • Fostering meaningful, inclusive conversations
  • Valuing diverse perspectives and lived experiences
  • Building bridges across different community segments
Key Focus Areas
  • Defining what makes a community strong and inclusive
  • Addressing affordable housing needs and accessibility
  • Recognizing diversity and inclusion as economic necessities
  • Creating opportunities for meaningful civic engagement
  • Supporting families and younger generations
Artistic Documentation

Artistic documentation by Marek Bennett captures the essence of community dialogues through powerful sketches and illustrations, adding an emotional and visual dimension that words alone cannot achieve.

Impact Statement

This project represents more than professional facilitation—it embodies Zerwa Consulting’s commitment to civic engagement and intercultural dialogue, and the belief that meaningful change begins with courageous conversations where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
